Former one term Mayor of Modesto Carmen Sabatino, announced his candidacy for a position on the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors last week. Sabatino, who has consistently attacked other candidates for their political donations, sent an email to the Board of Supervisors asking them to add his proposal to the agenda .

What is Sabatino’s proposal? He wants to change the amount of money donors can contribute to county campaigns anonymously.
Sabatino for Supervisor? Fuggetaboutit!
Sabatino for Supervisor?
Fuggetaboutit!
He wants to change the current amount of $25.00 to $200.00, and the reason given as to why he is asking for the change is because he claims people would be more willing to give money to a new candidate if they didn’t have to fear retribution from an incumbent. What?

The same guy who personally attacks City Council members and other candidates on their campaign donations, the same guy who can be heard espousing transparency in Government on the Capo Sabatino Show and the same guy who aligns himself with wiseguys like empty suit Robert Stanford, and that wannabe consigliere sidekick of his, is now asking that the rules be changed just for him. I have a question for Sabatino, who is it that wants to hide their campaign donations from the public?

According to Lucky Luciano, every organization needs somebody standin' out front. "Call it a figurehead, a leader, a headman", or a supervisor.

Let's say no to this brugad, no to the run for supervisor, and no to "fixing" donations.
