Carmen Sabatino, his sidekick, and a former City Council candiate. This aptly named "trio of destruction" is notorious for their smear campaigns against law enforcement, the Modesto Bee, and anyone who doesn’t agree with their often strange and twisted logic. They use several media outlets, including hiding behind screen names on the Modesto Bee’s blog spot called The Hive, the so called “Voice of Modesto”- the website is owned by Sabatino, and “The Morning Mayor” radio show.

This group combined has a longer criminal history then Scott Peterson.

Former Modesto Mayor Carmen Sabatino, was allegedly arrested on corruption charges, and apparently blames the Modesto Bee. Last time we checked, the Modesto Bee didn’t have the authority to serve arrest warrants, but apparently no one has informed Sabatino. He also doesn’t seem to discriminate in his attacks, and is often heard trashing Judy Sly, who in our opinion is a hard working informed Bee employee. He also appears to have a strange personal vendetta against Modesto’s current Mayor Jim Ridenour, and he is often heard screaming about Ridenour’s timecards on the Morning Mayor show, although Sabatino’s Grand Jury investigation proved there is nothing improper going on, but despite that fact, Sabatino is still screaming. Is this a case of old fashioned jealousy? We think it is.

 Sabatino’s sidekick and co host of the Morning Mayor, also writes for Sabatino’s website, the Voice of Modesto. He was arrested for a large scale marijuana grow operation in 2008, and he was also allegedly charged with stealing electricity from MID. Maybe that explains why most articles written by him on the Voice of Modesto, and the Modesto Bee’s Hive are constant attacks against MID.

The former Modesto Council candidate has 18 charges listed against him. It could be argued that he appears to have some sort of learning disability when it comes to realizing that one is not legally allowed to drive a motor vehicle without a valid license. You would think he would have learned by now. He also doesn’t appear to understand that if the goal is to get a drug addict clean, you don’t hand them a needle.

We see all three men as obstacles to a healthy, vibrant community and we certainly support the idea that they should never get elected to any county wide office.
